Fresno is home to three vast public parks. Woodward Park provides several picnic areas and features the Shinzen Japanese Gardens. Roeding Park is where you will find the Rotary Playland and Storyland and the beautiful Chaffee Zoological Garden. Kearney Park, which is the largest of the park system in the Fresno region, plays host to the annual Civil War Revisited, a re-enactment of the Civil War. This is also where the historic Kearney Mansion stands.
The city also contains three airports. The most popular is the Fresno Yosemite International Airport, more commonly known as Fresno Air Terminal. It is the major air transportation center for the entire valley. It offers regularly scheduled commercial airline services. The other two airports are the Fresno Chandler Executive Airport and Sierra Sky Park Airport.
The city experiences very hot summers and relatively mild winters. July temperatures average 35.9C (98.6F) while December temperatures are around 2.8C (37F). Average annual rainfall is 11.23 inches, concentrated in the spring and winter seasons.
